Pedagogical Content

On my first week of observing in my assigned class, i can observed that the teacher is using the Student-Centered Approach to Learning. I can clearly observe that the students are playing an active role of learning while the teacher is merely a facilitator.

Using the constructionist approach that combine with the discovery learning and discussion method the teacher is able to guide and assess the students. And able to determine on where the students performance to where they should be.

I can conclude that teacher’s primary role is to coach and facilitate student learning and overall comprehension of material, and to measure student learning through both formal and informal forms of assessment, like group and individual projects, student portfolios, class participation and board work activities. In the student-centered classroom that i am observing, teaching and assessment are connected because student learning is continuously measured during teacher instruction. And the teaching is always showing the capabilities to teach and guide when they are confused about the activities given.
