Student Activities

In every discussion of every topic, there will be always an activity that will check either the students has able to grasps the topic for the day or not. In that way also, we can be able to determine in which part that the students are having trouble and difficulty.

Giving activities to students always have a purpose. It maybe negative or positive.

Positive purpose:

1. For the teachers to know in which part the students are confused.

2. To check either the students understand the topic or not.

3. For assessment

4. For the teachers to know which part to recall.

Negative purpose:

These purposes are sometimes the bad habit of the teachers like:

1. consuming the time

2. being not ready

3. delay

Either the purpose of giving the activities a positive or not, it is always a teacher's way to measure either the students understand the discussion or not. The following are some examples of the student activities that I gave during my teaching practice in SMA Lab School UNTAD Palu.

Activity 01 - linear equation

Activity 02 - introduction to quadratic function

Activity 03 - using a point and a vertex to quadratic function

Activity 04 - composition of function
